The hiking tour in Finland takes travellers to Koli, Repovesi, Oulanka, and Pyhä-Luosto National parks in Karelia and Lapland. There will be 4 magnificent and different hikes throughout the trip. We use our own minibus, sleep in 2- or 4-bed rooms and enjoy cooking breakfast and dinner together. You can join the tour either in Tallinn or Helsinki. This Karelia and Lapland hiking trip will introduce you to rugged Nordic nature.

Karelia-Lapland Hiking Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Wed. – If you start the tour in Tallinn, we gather at 6 am near Methodist Church, take the ferry to Helsinki, and continue our drive towards Repovesi National Park where we have the first hike on Ketunlenkki trail (5 km). After the hike, we are heading to Koli area which is about 300 km from Repovesi National Park.
Day 2, Thu. – After breakfast, we start a 5-hour hiking day in Koli National Park. The rugged landscape of Koli NP offers us unforgettable views of one of the biggest lakes of Finland and the finest untouched quartzite rocks. Later on, we will drive more to the north towards Oulanka National Park. We set up our comfortable base in a cottage in Ruka for 3 following nights. Sauna is available during the next 3 nights in our cottage.
Day 3, Fri. – After breakfast, we start a 12-km long hike on one of the most beautiful trails in Finland – The Bear’s trail. We can enjoy our home-cooked dinner, sauna and socialize in the evening.
Day 4, Sat. – We start the morning early with breakfast and carry on with a 2-hour drive towards Pyhä-Luosto National Park in Lapland. The hiking will take about 4 hours but has a possibility to take additional hikes. We are heading back to our base after the hike to have dinner and a sauna.
Day 5, Sun. – We start our drive back to the south early morning on Sunday to take an 800-km long journey to Helsinki. The ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn leaves at 7.30 pm and we are back in Tallinn at 9.30 pm.
The company has a right to change the itinerary of the tour in case of changes to ferry schedules, adverse weather and road conditions, strikes, health conditions affecting travelers, or other issues not caused by Sandberg Travel.
